step 2: register for an e-filing account

All landlords and property management companies filing for lockouts must have their own e-filing account with Reno and/or Sparks Justice Court. Click here to set up your RENO/SPARKS e-filing account.

Before You Begin Please confirm:

✔ The required notice (7-Day Notice for Non-Payment of Rent) has been properly served
✔ The statutory waiting period has expired
✔ No payment was accepted that would stop the eviction
✔ You are prepared to proceed with lockout enforcement

Additional documents required at this time:

Rental Agreement / Lease (if applicable) Required if you indicated in the Affidavit of Landlord that a written rental agreement exists
Affidavit of Service, Completed by the licensed process server who served the What This Form Does

Copy of the Eviction Notice (if applicable)

***IMPORTANT****Reno and Sparks Justice Courts no longer allow RENO/CARSON to file lockout requests USING OUR EFILING ACCOUNT. A workaround Option, with your authorization allow (RCMS) to e-file your lockout on your behalf by securely providing your court’s e-filing login credentials.
