step 2: register for an e-filing account

All landlords and property management companies filing for lockouts must have their own e-filing account with Reno and/or Sparks Justice Court. Click here to set up your RENO/SPARKS e-filing account.

Step 3: fill out the required court documents for Seven Day pay Rent or quit

RENO & SPARKS JUSTICE COURT LOCKOUT DOCUMENT CHECK LIST FOR NON-PAYMENT:

Civil Case Cover Sheet, Fully completed and signed (if required) BLANK FORMS TO FILL OUT: Reno Justice / Sparks Justice
Affidavit of Landlord, Completed in full Fillable forms: Reno Justice / Sparks Justice
Rental Agreement / Lease (if applicable) Required if you indicated in the Affidavit of Landlord that a written rental agreement exists
Affidavit of Service, Completed by the licensed process server who served the eviction notice
Copy of the Eviction Notice (if applicable)

***IMPORTANT****Reno and Sparks Justice Courts no longer allow RENO/CARSON to file lockout requests USING OUR EFILING ACCOUNT. A workaround Option, with your authorization allow (RCMS) to e-file your lockout on your behalf by securely providing your court’s e-filing login credentials.
